How this guide began
Cyprus 365 began with a simple idea: an island with more than 300 sunny days a year, warm Mediterranean water from spring into late autumn, and some of the cleanest beaches in Europe deserves a guide that helps you actually find the right spot. We set out to share the real Cyprus, from the resort beaches of Ayia Napa to the cool pine air of the Troodos mountains, with travellers who want more than a single hotel pool.
The island gives you an unusual amount to explore for its size. There is the divided old capital of Nicosia, with its Venetian walls and the lanes of the old town, the golden sand of Nissi Beach and Fig Tree Bay, the Tombs of the Kings and the mosaics of the Paphos Archaeological Park, the legend-rich rock of Petra tou Romiou, and the wine villages strung along the southern slopes of Troodos. Too many visitors see only one resort strip, so we built this guide to point further. We cover the Republic of Cyprus, the government-controlled south.
