The west-coast gateway, about 6 to 7 km from Paphos town
Cyprus's second airport, serving the west coast about 6 to 7 km southeast of Paphos, handy for Paphos, Coral Bay, Polis and the Akamas peninsula.
EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel to Cyprus on free movement. From late 2026, visa-exempt non-EU travellers will need an ETIAS travel authorisation before arrival. Cyprus is not in the Schengen area, so your stay here is counted separately from any Schengen days. Read our entry requirements and arrival guides.
Paphos International Airport is about 6 to 7 km southeast of Paphos town, roughly a 15 to 20 minute drive. Kato Paphos and the harbour are a short hop further, around 10 to 15 km by road. Coral Bay and the resorts north of the town are further still, so allow around 30 to 40 minutes by road depending on traffic.
Buses run from the airport to Paphos, with limited services to Polis, plus connections towards Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca. Taxis wait outside arrivals, and there are car rental desks in the terminal. The bus is the budget choice into Paphos, while a hire car is the easiest way to reach Polis, Latchi and the Akamas peninsula, where services are sparse.
Yes. Paphos is the natural gateway for the west coast: the town and harbour, Coral Bay, and the wider Paphos district, as well as Polis, Latchi and the Akamas. It is Cyprus's second airport after Larnaca, so it has fewer routes, but for a west-coast holiday it usually means a shorter transfer than flying into Larnaca.
The terminal has ATMs and currency exchange, duty-free and shops, cafes, car rental desks and free passenger wifi. Cyprus uses the euro, and cards are accepted across the island. It is a single, modern terminal that is straightforward to walk through, so arrivals and departures are generally quick outside the busiest summer waves.
Cyprus drives on the left, the same as the UK, and uses UK-style three-pin (type G) sockets at 230 to 240 volts, so UK travellers need no adapter. Visitors from countries that drive on the right should take extra care on roundabouts. The dialling code is +357 and the emergency number is 112.
