WaterWorld Waterpark, Ayia Napa
Greek-mythology themed waterpark
WaterWorld Waterpark, Ayia Napa
A large Greek-mythology themed waterpark in Ayia Napa, with slides, a wave pool and family areas built around an ancient Greek theme. A full family day out.
WaterWorld is a themed waterpark on the edge of Ayia Napa, built around ancient Greek mythology. The rides, pools and buildings carry mythological names and styling, which gives the park a consistent look beyond the slides themselves. It is one of the larger themed waterparks in Europe and a fixed point on many family holidays in the resort.
The park has dozens of slides and attractions spread across different zones, from fast drop rides for thrill-seekers to gentler flumes, plus a wave pool and a lazy river that winds through the grounds. There are shallow play areas and smaller slides for young children, so families with a wide age range can spend the whole day without anyone running out of things to do. Sunbeds, food outlets and shaded spots are dotted around the grounds, and lockers are available for valuables.
Planning a visit
The waterpark sits a short drive from the centre of Ayia Napa and runs through the main summer season. Buy tickets ahead in peak weeks to skip the queue, and arrive early to claim shade and beat the busiest part of the day on the popular rides.
- Combine a park day with a beach afternoon at Nissi Beach nearby.
- For a calmer day on the water, try the Cape Greco boat cruise.
- The headland walks at Cape Greco make a good cooler-evening option.
Bring swimwear, plenty of sun cream and water shoes for hot walkways, and check the minimum height rules if your children want the bigger slides.
