Blue Lagoon Boat Cruise from Latchi

This cruise leaves from Latchi harbour near Polis and Latchi and runs west along the wild Akamas coast to the Blue Lagoon, a sheltered bay of clear, shallow water on the edge of the Akamas peninsula. This is the Cyprus Blue Lagoon, inside the Republic of Cyprus, not the Blue Lagoon at Cape Greco, between Ayia Napa and Protaras. The boat usually anchors for around an hour so passengers can swim and snorkel.

The route passes coastal landmarks including the Baths of Aphrodite and the rocky inlets and small caves along the peninsula. Many operators provide snorkelling gear and a light onboard spread of fruit and drinks. The water at the lagoon is calm and protected, which makes it comfortable for less confident swimmers and good for families.

Planning the trip

Boats range from large group cruisers to smaller private hires, and trips run from spring through autumn when the sea is settled. Latchi is reachable from Polis by a short taxi ride or walk, and the harbour has parking and tavernas for before or after the cruise.
